![]() Recuva has two entries and looking in the directory there are two executable files one called recuva.exe the other recuva64.exe (I'm guessing for 64bit versions of windows?) However both entries on the PortableApps menu just say Recuva (no telling which is the 64 bit version)ĭefraggler is worse, it has four entries, the two main ones (one being the 64bit version) and two others whose exe files are called df.exe and df64.exe (command line versions) All four programs just show as Defraggler on the PortableApps menu (though two don't have icons). Recuva Portable (pronounced recover) is just a freeware Windows utility to replace files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. No problems with CCleaner and Speccy, but Recuva and Defraggler produced multiple icon entries on the menu screen. ![]() Note: If you really want your data back then dont use your drive to avert data overwritten issue. And it can recover from any rewriteable media you have memory cards, external hard drives, USB. Downloaded all four of the "portable" versions of these programs last night from piriform's site, copied them to my USB drive and clicked Options/Refresh App Icons. As Bill already suggested you a free data recovery software Recuva for recovering lost files, either you can with that tool or can try any other paid tool like Stellar. Recuva can recover pictures, music, documents, videos, emails, or any other file type you’ve lost.
